![]() DESKS XCLEAN LINES FULLSo full disclosure - people's experiences will vary. You will probably need about 10l to start you off Once your first container get dirty just put it in the cure station, filter it out and use it again. One container for pre rinse, second in wash station after supports are removed and third as final wash just to be sure of no residue or contamination. I use a three wash method, makes cleaning mich better but also saves isopropyl getting dirty as quick. You should be alright moving them between rooms, just print bracket so you can get as much resin off the build plate first Once the sealed lid is on the wash station you wont have fumes building up You can get a separate power supply, just check the dc jack size, voltage and amp (can use higher amp supply) I love the mercury x especially when your cleaning and curing multiple prints, saves you taking the bucket out and then putting the curing plate on. ![]() As long as your not creating a vacuum and it has air flow it will be fine, they like being warm. DESKS XCLEAN LINES INSTALLInstall a raspberry pi, saves having to access the usb port. Don't really want to deal with either storing vast amounts of waste before getting it to dump (because flammable) nor want to be the guy pouring gallons of it down his sinks! How much IPA or DNA am I going to be going thru - can you (safely!) filter/clean rinsing fluid for re-use several times? Or again am I just asking for trouble. Upgrading to a glass door with some sort of UV blocking film would be overthinking? But don't want a lot of UV leakage fading nearby blinds, etc. Think I'm asking for trouble planning to 'transport' wet just-out-of-machine prints and then bring back dry-but-not-cured prints?īoth the printer and the cure generate UV, both have filtered cover/enclosures.they pretty good? Cabinet would be standard cheap IKEA-like white laminate interior over particle board, wanted to have flip-up door be frosted (basically just 'sanded') clear acrylic so I can kinda see inside while they're working without opening it. Also concerned about alcohol fumes building up in a cabinet enclosure between uses (lid not sealed well, whatever) and having to run that vent fan all the time. My goal would be to have the *curing* next to the Saturn itself in the same cabinet, but move prints to a bathroom using a bin or something and do *washing* there. Mercury X one flaw I can think of is a 'Y' power cord - what's the advantage of having totally different machines if you have to have them side by side? Can you buy a 2nd power adapter (or just find a suitable sized wall-wart with the right plug for one or the other)? DESKS XCLEAN LINES PLUSAnything else I should be worried about? (I have seen a couple of reviews with short USB extension cords to get easier front-access to the USB port.)Īny concerns of running machine inside a cabinet? (Routing AC in isn't an issue, nor is providing a small 12V converter for the fan and perhaps some in-cabinet LED lighting.will machine "overheat" or anything? I've read resin itself is fine in typical room temps plus a few degrees, so not worried about that) Roll-out-tray idea for machine inside cabinet is assuming I need to lift/lower the housing vertically off the machine, easy look-down-into access for resin fills, etc. Already planned the drawer to be able to hold heavy printer plus a full resin tank. ![]() Intend to have the printer on a roll-out 'tray' (drawer) at about mid-chest height when standing, and a horizontal flip-up door for access to the section of the cabinet with the printer (and cure). ![]() Printer would be interior 2nd floor of residence, so already planning a standing cabinet with an internal fan and ventilation hose to a plate that would fit in a partially opened window (so I'm not losing significant AC in summer, or just having fumes blow right back in around the hose end). Also a waaaay over-planner sort, so danger! Wall of text incoming. FDM printer for a long time, about to bite the resin bullet (ew, toxic!). ![]()
